Coaching in Your Region
Local Coaching Panels are the forum for coaches in an area to discuss local coaching needs and developments. A place where clubs can find support and where local views can be discussed and as appropriate passed on to the Coaching Committee. The Panels are chaired by the RCO for the region. Panels are a good place for individual coaches to share ideas and to get support from other coaches for their own development.
Click the name of the panel for your area to find out more or use the RCO & LCO directory.
Coaching E-group
The SCA has introduced a series of e-groups to enable communication amongst SCA coaches in a region. Members can sign up by following the instructions on the regional pages of the SCA website and can then send emails to the group for others to receive. Members can unsubscribe from the group at any time. Messages should be relevant to coaching and the region. Examples include places on a local course or trip; details of an upcoming meeting or event, information about local paddling venues, coaching opportunities, mentoring opportunities or second hand equipment for sale (must be paddling related and non-commercial). E-groups should not be used in order to actively advertise commercial courses. The SCA already provides this service on the SCA Website for all authorised courses.
To join the group for your region, email sca.lists@canoescotland.org leaving the subject blank and type subscribe region in the message body. Once subscribed, to send an email to the list email region@canoescotland.org where "region" is the region you live in (grampian, highland, lothians, dumfries, strathclydeeast, strathclydewest, central, borders, fife, tayside). Subscribers will receive a confirmation. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 2 hours please contact coaching@canoescotland.org and your email will be added manually. Members are required to observe our acceptable use policy to ensure that this facility continues to be available to all.
