SCA Performance Programme Manager (part time) Based at the Scottish Canoe Association office in Edinburgh [Applications closed 6 Jan 2012]
SCA athletes have won Olympic Silver medals in 2004 at Athens and in 2008 in Beijing as well as European Championship and World Cup medals.
The SCA seeks an extremely capable individual to manage and develop the SCA Performance Programme in Slalom and Sprint disciplines. sportscotland investment into the Performance Programme currently provides the resources for the employment of six Development Coaches.
You will be a graduate and have at least 3 years’ experience of line managing direct reports. In addition you will be able to demonstrate a successful track record of developing, planning and delivering projects and programmes to time and on budget. You will be able to work with and alongside other stake holders to ensure the effective communication and implementation of the SCA Performance Plan. You will be accustomed to managing your work effectively and efficiently through the appropriate use of information technology.
You will possess a genuine interest in performance sport and preferably have knowledge of competition canoeing disciplines.
The successful candidate can expect a salary of circa £30,000 pro rata plus benefits.
It is envisaged that this role will be 3 - 4 days per week with flexibility in order to attract the right candidate.
Initial interviews will be held on Monday 16th January 2012 in Edinburgh.
