The SCA has a number of policies applicable to Child Protection and a series of associated guidelines. These policies and guidelines apply to SCA activities, including those of staff, volunteer committees and SCA events. SCA Affiliated Clubs are required to have in place their own child protection policy and guidelines or to formally adopt the SCA policy and guidelines. The policies and guidelines have been produced in conjunction with the Safeguarding in Sport Service (a partnership between Children 1st and sportscotland).
