Joining the SCA

SCA Memberships start at only £14 for supporters, and up to £33 for full membership.  You can join using the following:

Option 1:  Join online using our  Self-Service system (opens in a new window, external site).
Option 2:  Download a membership form and return to the SCA office with payment.
Option 3:  For membership renewals online, please log into SCA Self-Service.  If you are wishing to join as a family member, or want to renew over the phone, please contact the SCA office.
Option 4: If you wish to purchase day membership for an SCA event, purchase online (available soon) or download a day membership form. Day membership is valid for one specific day only for the person specified on the form.

Please note:

  • For convenience, you can set up a Direct Debit payment (further details available on membership form).
  • If you want to rejoin following a lapse of membership and hold coaching qualifications, you will be required to pay a reinstatement fee and may be required to complete additional training in order for your coaching qualifications to be reinstated.  For more information, contact the SCA office.
  • There must be at least one Full or Recreational member to qualify for the Family rate.
  • Under the 1979 BCU Federal Agreement, membership (other than Supporter) is only available to those living in Scotland or outside the UK.  If you live in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, please join the relevant home nation association.
  • If you have previously been a member of another BCU Home Nation association (Canoe Wales, Canoe England or Canoe Association of Northern Ireland) and hold any coaching, performance or safety awards please contact us to advise in order that a copy of your records may be obtained from the other home nation.
