SCA Club Coach Development Weekend 20-23 April 2012
Bookings for the event are now open. Last years event was a sell out so book soon to ensure you don't miss out. The event is open to SCA individual members in any SCA Affiliated Club.
It is important that you choose the correct options, especially as the breakdown of options is different to previous years. You need to choose a Delegate option, an accommodation option and all your workshop options. As ever, all choices are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Delegates
The first 60 bookings are entitled to receive a subsidised booking (enabled due to sportscotland funding), meaning that they are not required to pay a delegate fee for any of the days that they are attending. You still need to add your choices due to numbers. Outside of the first 60 bookings, there are the relevant fees to be paid. These must also be chosen as an option at the start of the booking process.
Accommodation
Read through the descriptions and choose which B&B, camping or non residential option matches your needs best. Spaces in the South wing (en-suite) will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. A non-residential option is available for those not staying at the Lodge but making use of food and facilities.
Saturday Workshops
All workshops are running from Saturday morning through to mid-afternoon. There are 2 x 3-hour workshops running from 9:30 to 12:30, will those attending these then joining in the paddling. The general SCA and Coaching updates will be after all the activities, as well as some discussions on club programs.
Sunday Workshops
All Sunday workshops are full-day workshops, with all off-site and out paddling.
Monday Workshops
Monday looks at more specific skills for the different disciplines, with some workshops not previously delivered at the Club Coach Development Weekend.
Glenmore Lodge
The sportscotland National Centre in the heart of the Cairngorm’s is again partnering us in delivering this event. Use of their equipment, excellent facilities and helpful staff are reasons enough to go back year after year!
