River Tweed: Chain Bridge at Melrose

There is a large log about half the size of a telegraph pole, which could be a whole pole.  It is half submerged across the most obvious line down the Cauld and it is a definite pin hazard. 

It is not clear whether you can see if from the top of the river, if staying in the boat, for a look before a run. I was on my own and its too big for me to move. 

One Paddler said: "It will dislodge when the water rises but for now its dangerous!"
