#Shoresweep 6th - 13th December

Dec 07, 2020
Please join us this week (6th-13th December) for #shoresweep - an exciting initiative by The Wild Ones and Surfers Against Sewage SE Scotland to clean up our waters and report sewage to the authorities!

Heavy rain & wild seas over the past week has brought loads of plastic & sewage pollution back onto our shores. But Covid restrictions mean that we can’t do our usual mass beach/river clean-ups.

So we’re calling on YOU to do your own individual cleans - collectively we can still make a real difference!
  1. Wherever you swim, surf, paddle, walk, run or SUP this week - please take some time to pick up some rubbish!
  2. Sort it into RUBBISH (eg plastic, food wrappers) & SEWAGE (sanitary items, wet wipes etc) & take a photo.
  3. Post your photo on the event along with your location & the hashtag #shoresweep.
