2022 Paddlesport Coaching and Leadership Conference

Jul 29, 2022

The 2022 Paddlesport Coaching and Leadership Conference brings together Instructors, Coaches, Leaders, Mentors and Coach Developers with varied experiences and from different disciplines, who are invited to engage, discuss and reflect on the insightful keynotes and workshops throughout the weekend.

The Conference takes place on 19th/20th November at Eastwood Hall, Nottinghamshire, with water workshops taking place at the National Water Sports Centre, Nottinghamshire.

The keynote presentations which feature as part of the Saturday programme will explore this year's theme based around you, exploring what has influenced us and contributes to who we are and how we consider and approach our own development. Throughout the afternoon, we will continue our journey focusing on welfare and how burnout can have a significant impact on us, as well as others. The final keynote of the day will explore mentoring, a place many coaches find themselves, looking at how we create an appropriate climate, support and guide others on their own journey.

The Sunday programme has been designed so that you can personalise your own learning journey, with a range of on the water or classroom workshops available to suit your own interests or development areas, including (Re)Discover Freestyle, Sustainable Coaching, Raft Guiding - Probably the best job in the world, Multi Craft Leadership and much more!

This year’s diverse programme includes activities and unique experiences such as the interactive internet café to explore the British Canoeing Awarding Body eLearning and digital resources, a Coaching Corner to get your questions answered, as well as a range of exhibitors and paddlesport retailers.  We are aware that for many of us we have not been able to catch up with colleagues and friends, in the evening there will be a buffet style dinner, providing opportunities to socialise, catch up and even plan your next adventure in the bar later.

We are pleased to offer a range of delegate packages, including discounts for members and under 23s, as well as an early bird offer! Packages start from only £99 for the full weekend, with a variety of single day and residential options available. This is a great opportunity to update your CPD, network with fellow coaches and paddlers and reflect on your coaching practice at this not to be missed event.  Early bird discounts until 9th September!
