Video chat & Q&A with Olympic Champ Tim Baillie!

Apr 08, 2020

The SCA would like to invite you to join a special online video chat & Q&A with Scottish Canoe Slalom legend Tim Baillie

Tim Baillie is Scotland's first and only Olympic Champion canoeist. Initially competing in kayak, Tim switched to C2 in 2003, eventually teaming up with English paddler Etienne Stott for a partnership that would see them reach the top of the world. The 2012 Olympic final is a sporting event that many will remember, an unprecedented spectacle in Canoe Slalom history. Tim and Etienne qualified slowest into the final, meaning that they would start first in the final. They delivered an impeccable run, setting a time that neither of the 5 remaining crews could match. It was one of the best examples of a crew focusing on delivering their best on the day and managing to do so despite incredible pressure.

Join us live at 1pm on Friday 10th April for a live chat between Tim and the SCA Head of Performance and Pathways, Jon Schofield. It will be an interactive session so please do come prepared with any questions you may have for Tim!
