With COP26 taking place in Glasgow, we’re opening up a conversation to explore the environmental footprint of outdoor sports.
We can all have an impact, both through our own individual actions, and through considering our unique routes to influence. Everyone by now probably takes a reusable water bottle with them, but beyond this, what else can, or should we be doing?
Join us for this session, led by environmental scientists at Fidra to:
Anyone that participates in outdoor sport that has an interest in the environment! Whether you’re into paddling, walking, mountaineering, snowsports, sailing, cycling, rowing, outdoor swimming, or horse riding - you can bring some value to the conversation and leave feeling inspired and more informed about the environmental footprint of the sports you do.
Fidra is an environmental charity working to reduce plastic waste and chemical pollution in our seas, on our beaches and in the wider environment. Fidra shines a light on environmental issues, working with the public, industry and governments to deliver solutions which support sustainable societies and healthy ecosystems. They use the best available science to identify and understand environmental issues, developing pragmatic solutions through inclusive dialogue.
