The SCA has been advised that a fallen tree, 50m - 100m downstream of Chinese Bridge rapids near Kenmore on the Upper Tay, river left, is posing a significant hazard to paddlers
There has been a landside (left of both pictures) that has pushed a previously fallen tree further into the flow. 50m down stream there is a new fallen tree with large branches in the flow. As the water level drops this tree will be right in the only channel you can paddle.
It is now possible to scout the rapids and portage past the area as the fence, previously restricting access, has been removed.
The SCA Access Committee have been advised and we are working to resolve the issue.
